It’s winter at Nippers Nursery and that means art, bakery, play and winter fashion.

We worked in small groups to create winter wear. We used cellophane and tissue paper to make warm winter mittens and the children spoke about what we wear in winter when it’s cold. We also used different materials to create snow pictures and snowflakes, we explored with playdough creating snowmen with stencils.

Taking advantage of the day it snowed, the children made snowflake shaped biscuits. They helped mix the ingredients and cut out the shapes.

The children in Nippers Nursery Dalmeny went for a winter walk along the old railway spotting signs of winter in the form of frost on the mud and grass.
