3 to 5 years

Our junior room is a large spacious area, which has an adjoining art and creative room. We also have access to the garden.

Here we follow the National Curriculum for 3-5 year olds, which covers all areas of the Curriculum for Excellence and look at the Building the Ambition document which published by the Scottish Government.

We follow an extensive weekly plan, which includes all of the key areas of the curriculum with an emphasis on learning through play.  The plans are evaluated and extended when required. We ensure they reflect the needs and interests of the children at all times.

Our staff will encourage and motivate children to gain self-confidence, self-respect and become more independent, helping them to establish positive relationships.

Parents are asked to supply nappies until your child is toilet trained however we will supply wipes.

We also ask you to provide us with a change of Clothing, Wellingtons, Winter/Summer Hats and Sun Cream.

Children will be supplied with a toothbrush and toothpaste.
